Saga lär sig japanska

Saga learns Japanese

The Swedish edition of the book was published in June 2006 and we hope to be able to publish an English edition soon. Interested agents for the English speaking market and other language areas are most welcome to contact the publisher.

Saga is turning 10 in a few months. W
hen Saga's best friend Cornelia moves abroad Saga suddenly finds herself all alone. Everything turns sad and boring. To have something to do Saga takes up judo. In the judo dojo she meets a new world full of strange rules, a different language and mysterious symbols. Saga is instantly attracted to the beautiful Japanese characters. This is how she meets Naomi - a little girl with short black hair and lively eyes. Besides being a judo expert, Naomi speaks Japanese and she introduces Saga to the fascinating world of Japanese writing. From Naomi Saga also learns one or two things about judo - but maybe even more important - she learns a lot about about friendship.

In "Saga learns Japanese" the reader meets and learns - almost without noticing it - more than 50 Japanese characters and words. The book is for children and other readers that, regardless of age, are fascinated by Japanese culture and writing.
